Call for entries for our fall bookmark contest

It's time once again for the Library's fall bookmark contest. The bookmark contest is open to all children pre-k through high school. In what has become one of our most popular fall traditions, children from public and private schools throughout Forsyth County submit their best designs to us that promote their love of reading and books.

Just submit a completed entry form to any Forsyth County Public Library location, your school media center or classroom teacher. The deadline for entries is Friday, October 3rd by 6:00 pm.

Winning bookmarks will be printed and distributed to all Forsyth County Public Libraries. Winning artists, their parents and their school media specialists or teacher will be invited to a special celebration on Thursday, November 14th to receive copies of their winning bookmarks.

Judges will be looking for original and creative ideas. You might:

  • Illustrate an original slogan about reading or books.
  • Draw something from a favorite book or a favorite subject.
  • Illustrate why you love the library.
  • Use your imagination!
