Local Children's Author To Share Book, Stories at Walkertown

Cody was really confused. He thought his class was going to the zoo, yet somehow they were at a lake. Cody didn't know that his town even HAD a lake.

But things got even stranger. All of a sudden, some of the kids began to scream, and that was when Mr. Fletcher drove the bus straight into the water. Ms. Morgan didn't seem upset, even though the class was frantic.

Soon Cody finds that he's no longer on a bus, but on a ship. And it's not just any ship, but a pirate ship! Ms. Morgan wore clothes like a pirate and carried a long spy glass. "Children," she said, "please settle down. We are going on a special trip today."

So begins John Stack's first book about Cody, CODY'S ALMOST TRIP TO THE ZOO. Mr. Stack will share his book and also share previews of the next two Cody adventures. Children and writers alike are invited to this special Friday Afternoon Story Time to hear how Mr. Stack has turned his stories about Cody into books.
