This week in Summer Reading!

You’ve signed up for a reading log and you’ve been relaxing with those exciting new books. Summer Reading is in full swing. Now it is time to be tempted by the diversity of entertaining and educational programs being offered throughout the system this summer.

Adults may want to check out Portion Distortion on Wednesday, June 18 at 6:00 pm at the Rural Hall branch library. Don’t be fooled--know what to eat. Discover the correct sized food portions for you, as well as nutritional information and more at this session. Call 703-2970 for more information.

Are you a Teen that loves drama, the acting kind, that is? Get ready to think on your feet and learn from the best. Teens will have a unique opportunity to work with members of our system wide performer, Peppercorn Theatre, in an Acting Improv Workshop on Wednesday, June 18 at 3:00 pm at Teen Central. Call 703-3080 for more information.

Kids needing to shake out some of that just-got-out-of-school energy can join us for Monkey Hooper on Friday, June 20 at Central Library. Preschoolers will meet at 11:00 am for age appropriate activities that promote fitness in a really fun way. Then at 11:45 am the school-aged kids get their own program to engage in games, play, and of course, hoops! Monkey Hooper is being held in place of this week’s Friday Music & Movement program. They will also be presenting programs later on at Reynolda Manor and Rural Hall branch libraries. Registration required. Call 703-3040 to save your spot.

Make sure you check out our online calendar and for a listing of programs at all of our locations. There's still time to register for summer reading.

Kids and Teens here's a special achievement code for this week: SR2Wk. Come back each week for a new code and like our Facebook page for even more codes.
