"Frankenstein" by Mary Shelley - Book Talk in Walkertown

Did you know that M. Shelley, age 19, wrote Frankenstein during the year without a summer? Her novel begins in snowy St. Petersburg, Russia. Born to well known parents (philosopher William Godwin and famous feminist Mary Wollstonecraft) the author grew up around distinguished guests such as William Blake, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, and William Wordsworth. Shelley did not have a formal education, but had a creative imagination. She found an outlet in writing.
