Captain Jason Swaim Retires

Captain Swaim began his law enforcement career with the Winston-Salem Police Department and served six years before coming to the FCSO in 1992. He has served in many areas of law enforcement throughout his career, including Patrol, Vice and Narcotics, Organized Crime and Intelligence, Identification Technician, Crime Scene Investigator and Criminal Investigator. Captain Swaim also served our country as a United States Marine from 1979-1983.

Captain Swaim has earned many achievements in his career to include Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate, General Instructor certificate and TASER Instructor. He assisted in Crime Stoppers and the sheriff’s office Explorer Post Program as well. Captain Swaim has over 4,000 hours of training on both the State and Federal levels in detecting and investigating crimes, collecting and preservation of evidence. He has made well over six hundred felony arrests resulting from Crimes against North Carolina General Statues.

Captain Swaim’s knowledge and guidance will be missed and we wish him the best in all future endeavors. Congratulations Captain Swaim!
