Dot Duggins: Summer Art Show in Walkertown

The Walkertown Branch Library is pleased to display the artwork of local artist and member of the Walkertown Friends of the Library, Dot Duggins.

Dot grew up in Belews Creek, NC. While raising her family, three boys and one girl, she dreamed about having the extra time to write a book, paint, or sew. In 1973 after taking painting classes she won her first purchase award for “Wachovia Bank” in 1975. Painting was part time for her then. Her full time profession was a Bridal Designer and seamstress until 1993. Now she is happily able to devote full time to her art. Her favorite media are oil paint, watercolor and acrylic.

Dot Duggins honored the Walkertown Library by generously donating two large oil paintings to decorate the Children’s area in the library in celebration of the Walkertown Branch's 20th Anniversary. We are very proud to display six artworks by Dot Duggins. Dot encourages everyone to be creative. She states, “Everyone has a talent, and when you take the time to be creative you will be surprised with what you end up doing.”

Dot Duggins resides in Walkertown, NC.
