Enthusiastically providing diligent attention to detail, Detention Officer Huskins has discovered and seized contraband, which could undermine the maintenance of a safe and secure detention setting.

Controlling contraband is an essential element of effective and safe management and is broadly described as any item that inmates are not allowed to possess. Officers indispensably, necessary to the perseverance of safety and security, make routine searches to remove anything that can damage or promote unhealthy or unsanitary conditions. The control of contraband is a very serious policy in the jail, and Detention Officer Huskins is applauded for his actions.
