Library Volunteer Wins Governor’s Award

Jess Zimmerman, a volunteer Web Design Computer Coach in the Library’s Computer Training Bridge program, was named a winner of the Governor’s Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service at a recent breakfast recognizing local outstanding volunteers.

Jess has provided help to over 100 people learning advanced computer skills through the Library’s free Computer Training Bridge program. Besides developing a web design course from scratch, Jess offers one-on-one assistance to participants and continues to seek out new learning opportunities to help people needing job-seeking and other computer related skills. Jess is always available to help train new coaches and is an integral part of a computer training program designed to help underserved members of the community. The Library congratulates Jess on a job well done!
