Library to Celebrate “International Year of Astronomy”

Dia de los Niños, Dia de los Libros promises to be a “star-studded” library program as we join the rest of the world in celebrating the “International Year of Astronomy.” It will be a great opportunity for families to visit SciWorks, see a planetarium show, see the moon, various planets and heavenly objects through many telescopes.

We will have crafts, games, and solar observations. Don’t miss the 7:15 p.m. planetarium show. When it gets dark we’ll view the stars, the planets and the moon up close through telescopes provided by the Forsyth Astronomical Society.

Dia de los Niños, Dia de los Libros is a gift to all children from the Latino Community. It is a day to celebrate and honor children. It is a commitment to link all children to books, languages and cultures. For more information call 703-2969. Saturday, May 2nd @ 6:30 p.m. - SciWorks, 600 W. Hanes Mill Road, Winston-Salem.
