Library Reaches Circulation Milestone

Timmyha McCrayThe Forsyth County Public Library marked a proud milestone on April 14th when we hit the 75,000,000 mark for circulated items since records first started being kept in 1913.

At 4:08 PM, 8-year old Ms. Timmyha McCray of Winston-Salem stepped up to the main circulation desk at Central Library and checked out our 75th million item. Timmyha, who attends Ashley Elementary School, had just received her library card earlier that afternoon. Timmyha is a big Library fan even at such a young age and had this to say about visiting the Library. “I really like coming to the Library, it’s fun and I like all the good books and DVD’s they have here.” For the record, the 75,000,000th item checked out was High School Musical 2.

The Library thanks Timmyha and everyone who supports the Library.
