Central to Host Environmental Film Series

Central Library will host a series of films related to Earth’s environment in order to raise awareness of important environmental issues facing our community, our country and the world we live in. March of the Penguins. Rated G.
This beautiful nature documentary follows the annual journey of emperor penguins to their Antarctic breeding ground where they face birth and death, dating and mating, predators and even love in their fight for survival. April 6th

Hoot. Rated PG.
When young Roy moves from Montana to Florida with his family, he ends up befriending two kids who are fighting to protect the home of a group of endangered burrow owls from a real estate developer. April 13th

The 11th Hour. Rated PG.
This documentary from activist and actor Leonardo DiCaprio examines the state of the global environment with renewed energy. Leading scientists, thinkers and leaders discuss their visionary and practical solutions for restoring the planet's beleaguered ecosystems. April 20th
