The main emphasis of the mosquito control program is:

  • Public education to raise awareness about simple steps to reduce mosquito populations in the community by eliminating standing water.
  • Year-round habitat monitoring and seasonal treatment of mosquito breeding areas.
  • Species identification and distribution; and
  • Complaint investigations
