Does Not Include Tanglewood Park

  1. Alcoholic Beverages are not allowed in County Parks with the exception of a paid reservation at Woodland Hall Banquest Facility.
  2. Dogs must be on a leash at all times. The only exception is at Horizons Happy Hounds Dog Park (off-leash area). Please be considerate and pick up your dog's excrement on park grounds. Horses are not permitted at any County Park except Tanglewood Park.
  3. Firearms, hunting and concealed weapons are forbidden. Presenting abusive language/behavior may result in expulsion from park.
  4. Metal detectors or motorized equipment is not permited. It is unlawful to operate go-carts, motorized trail bikes, mini bikes, electric scooters, all terrain vehicles, etc. on park grounds.
  5. Picnic tables may not be moved. A maintenance fee of $14.25 per man per hour will be charged to move back to original location or for any maintenance above and beyond normal use.
  6. Park grills are designed for charcoal only. It is unlawful to gather and burn wood on County Park property. Personal grills, less than 24" in diameter, may be used outside the shelter but not under the shelter.
  7. Erecting canopies or tents is not allowed in the parks. The only exception is when the vendor area is rented in conjunction with Shelter #1 at Triad Park. Canopies may be set up but must be 10' or less. No Exceptions for Tents. Nailing decorations to park structures is not permitted.
  8. All vehicles must be parked in parking spaces provided. Parking on grass or alongside roads is prohibited. No camping.
  9. Do not exceed maximum capacity at shelters. If capacity is exceeded, it overwhelms parking lots, restrooms, etc., and will cause Forsyth County Parks & Recreation to deny users entry into park as well as future reservations.
  10. No commercial or fund raising use of County Parks is permitted with the exception of a rental of Woodland Hall Banquet Facility. Solicitation is prohibited.
  11. Amplified music/PA systems can be used only at Triad Park Shelters #1, #4 and #6.
  12. Dunking booths, moonwalks and other inflatables are only allowed at Triad Park shelter #1. In addition, vendor area must be rented and vendor must provide necessary insurance information.
  13. The following is not permitted at any County park: Water Slides, Amusement Rides or Equipment, Petting Zoos, Pony Rides, Hot Air Balloons, Helicopters, Fireworks, Sparklers, Unauthorized Oversized Vehicles, Concealed Weapons, Firearms, Hunting or Abusive Language/Behavior.
  14. Hitting golf balls is not permitted. Kite flying is allowed in certain areas designated by park staff, but not over walking paths or other areas as determined by staff.
  15. Disposal or release of waterfowl, rabbits, or other pets is prohibited at County Parks.
  16. Violation of any of the park rules may result in expulsion with denial of future rental privileges.
