  • You may reserve park facilities by calling (336) 703-2500, Ext. 1, Monday through Thursday from 9:00 until noon. There will be no free reservations in 2009.
  • Shelter sessions are all day which means 9:00 a.m. to 1/2 hour before park closing. Shelters are being cleaned and leaves blown prior to 9:00 a.m.
  • Picnic groups must follow all County Park Rules and Regulations.
  • Service roads and most paths are for pedestrians and County vehicles. A short asphalt path is available for in-line skaters and bicycles at C. G. Hill Memorial Park and Horizons Park. You may bring a hand-pulled wagon to transport picnic goods to shelter.
  • Reservation fees are only refundable if you cancel 30 days prior to the reservation date. Anything less than 30 days, 1/2 of the reservation fee is refunded.
  • Rain dates within the same season will be scheduled as available upon request the workday following your rained out date. Rain must occur at the reservation site and time.
  • Park facilities are free for public use except when previously reserved. Only specific facilities are reserved, never the entire park.
  • The person signing the reservation agreement is held liable for clean-up and any damages or maintenance fees incurred as a result of the group's activities. Facilties should be left as found within reason. Park staff will attend hot coals.
  • Low voltage electrical outlets in shelters are for use with picnic oriented activities with paid reservations only.
  • Water is available only at restroom sinks. Water will not be provided for recreational use (pools, sprayers, etc.). Water spigots near shelters are for maintenance staff use only.
  • Use of deep fryers, cookers, etc. that use grease for cooking or as a by-product of cooking, require you to remove the grease from site and dispose of on your own. A grease pan must be put under grill. Disposal of grease is not allowed in the park. If you cook with deep fryers, you must take precautions to prevent oil spillage or burns to park patrons.
