Congratulations Library Card Art Contest Winners
On Friday, April 26 at the Central Library the winners of our Library Card Art Contest were officially recognized and celebrated for their wonderful artistic talents. All but one winner was able to attend the celebration. Each winner received a certificate of recognition as well as a new library card that they personally created. Family members of the winners were encouraged to take extra copies of the cards as mementos or to use as their library cards. The Forsyth County Public Library would like to express our appreciation to all of our young customers who participated in our Library Card Art Contest and to congratulate our winners and runner-ups. We had 194 entry forms for our children's contest and 68 entries for our teen contest. A select committee reviewed each entry and narrowed down the selection to roughly eight entries per category. These entries then went to our library administrators, who had the very tough job of selecting our winners. In the end, they selected four winners for our children's contest and two winners for our teen contest. The new library cards will be shipped to each branch next week for customers to see and request. Congratulations winners.
