Friends of the Library
You can "be a friend" by joining a Friends of the Library group. These organizations
support Forsyth County Public Library branches by sponsoring special events, serving
as volunteers in their neighborhood library, and by raising community awareness
of the importance of libraries. Any individual may join the Friends.
Friends of the Library associations throughout the county represent communities
committed to supporting the Library’s mission of service excellence. Whether or
not you use the Library and value it as a center of knowledge and exploration, becoming
a Friend is a way of investing in Forsyth County’s future.
Book Sales
Friends of the Library conduct regular book sales all year long, offering a wide
variety of materials from a wide variety of donors, including books, videos, and
CDs. Many books are in gift-giving condition, and prices are bargains, too. Friends
may preview books for their branch's book sale before it is opened to the general
public.
Programs for Adults
Friends of the Library also organize socials and book clubs throughout the year.
