    North Carolina Immunization Law requires that all children entering 6th grade must have a tetanus/diphtheria/pertussis vaccine (Tdap), unless they have had a Td or Tdap vaccine within the past 5 years. Your child will be suspended from school after 30 days if proof of this is not provided.

    The U.S. Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is investigating an outbreak of Salmonella Enteriditis linked to shell eggs. The outbreak, which began in May and appears to be ongoing, has been linked to an estimated several hundred illnesses.

    On May 27, 2010, the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners approved and adopted the FY 2010-2011 budget. The budget was prepared in accordance with North Carolina General Statute 159 and the Local Government Budget and Fiscal Control Act.
